Allied Telesis iMAP 9810 (IP/ethernet aggregation and IP access platform
Allied Telesis has introduced the iMAP 9810 (Intelligent Multiservice Access Platform) IP/ethernet aggregation and IP access platform. It incorporates high-capacity switching and wire-speed line card interfaces with optical aggregation and transport capabilities for fibre-to-the-home/premise/node (FTTx) services and advanced triple-play (voice, video, data) applications.
It provides ultra-high-speed FTTx services without the risk of blocking, as well as utilising the switching capacity for access aggregation and transport in the ‘mid-mile’. The 9810 is an IP/ethernet networking solution supporting IP services simultaneously over copper and fibre infrastructures, simplifying the move from traditional copper wiring to next-generation fibre-optic cabling - as well as extending 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps fibre closer to the subscriber.
It has a XE6 six-port 10 Gbps card, the same operating system as all of the iMAP range, and uses the same unified management platform, AlliedView, making transition easy for users already deploying iMAP in their networks.
