Phoenix Audio Condor Microphone Array
Madison Technologies has launched the Condor Microphone Array from Phoenix Audio Technologies, a complete audio pick-up solution based on microphone array technology, suitable for huddle or large conference rooms, classrooms or web conferencing.
Designed to be positioned at the front of a room, the 15-microphone array can be mounted on top of a display monitor or on the wall behind it, similar to a soundbar. It uses a multimicrophone array to create audio beams that zoom in and pick up any voice from distances of up to 10 m. A complete SIP phone solution can also be operated and controlled using an application that runs on most mobile devices.
The product is equipped with analog, USB and optical interfaces so that it can easily connect to any video conferencing system or loudspeaker, including external sound bars or a monitor’s internal speakers. It incorporates audio technologies including direction finding, beamforming, echo and noise cancelling, and adaptive gain control.
Other features include: highly directional, 48″ aperture; seven fixed-direction directional beams with constant beamwidth design; 180° angular reception; 100% full duplex; automatic bridging between the IP phone and USB communication; analog interface for use with analog CODECs; and DSP-based noise cancelling, echo cancelling, AGC and de-reverb.
