ShoreTel Mobility extends UC to smartphones and tablets
ShoreTel has announced an update to ShoreTel Mobility, a smartphone solution that integrates leading smartphones and tablets with leading IP PBX systems extending full UC and cost-saving calling capabilities to the mobile workforce.
’Dual persona’ allows separation of personal and business identities on a single mobile device, while extending desk phone and UC capabilities to the mobile user.
With software that switches networks automatically between wireless and cellular, for the best option available at any given moment, ShoreTel Mobility can reduce international roaming and direct dial charges on smartphones. It automatically recognises when users are outside the enterprise firewall and initiates the application-layer SSL VPN.
Features include: dual persona for separation of personal and business identities; native telephony interface integration on Android OS 2.2+; full-feature suite available for the latest BlackBerry OS 6 platform devices; and ongoing support for Apple iOS devices.
