Interworld Electronics CPM-800-2-ECAM hybrid console manager and remote network power switch
Interworld Electronics’ CPM-800-2-ECAM hybrid console manager and remote network power switch is designed to provide secure remote access to RS232 console ports as well as the ability to power cycle remote IT equipment. The device’s features include dual Ethernet ports, an internal modem, current monitoring and split-bus power distribution or automatic power transfer switching. With eight RJ45 serial ports and eight reboot power outlets, the device is suitable for small to medium-sized service rooms.
The device aims to deliver security, accessibility and control of critical network equipment via secure Ethernet or out-of-band modem connections. Power switching capabilities include outlet sequencing with power up delays, scheduled outlet switching or rebooting, as well as ping-no-answer monitoring with auto reboot capability.
Security options include SSHv2 encryption, address-specific IP security masks and multi-level passwords. Remote authentication is also supported.
The device monitors network equipment, constantly watching for significant changes. Network managers can be notified via SNMP trap or email or optionally via the 4G network if invalid access attempts occur, temperature limits are exceeded, port buffers are full and ping-no-answer events are detected.
