LogicMonitor teams with AWS to simplify cloud migration
Data centre transformation technology provider LogicMonitor has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS) aimed at helping global enterprises accelerate migrations to the AWS cloud.
The agreement will leverage LogicMonitor’s hybrid observability platform, which is itself powered by AWS, to help organisations migrate from VMware in response to changes in VMware’s licensing and pricing models. LogicMonitor has also achieved AWS Cloud Operations competency as an AWS Partner Network member to further assist organisations on the migration journey.
The hybrid observability platform aims to provide users with uninterrupted service availability to help them gain better control over migration timelines. It can allow organisations to compare lift-and-shift versus refactoring strategies for VMware workload migration to select the best option.
The platform can also help organisations identify over-provisioned virtual machines and streamline workflows through integrations with tools such as ServiceNow and PagerDuty.
LogicMonitor chief revenue officer Will Corkery said enterprises managing data centre transformation need seamless visibility across hybrid environments.
“Through this collaboration with AWS, we’re empowering organisations to streamline their VMware migrations with confidence — optimising performance, reducing costs and unlocking the next level of observability that modern IT operations demand,” he said.
