Women in AI
Women in AI (WAI) is a global network of female experts and professionals in the field of artificial intelligence working towards gender-inclusive AI that benefits a global society. The network's mission is to close the gender gap in the field by educating the next generation of female leaders in AI and to increase female representation and participation.
As part of that mission, the WAI Awards 2021 are vital in building credibility and exposure. The finalists for this year's awards have just been announced and include individuals across 11 separate categories, including Education, Health, Mining, Law, Finance, Agribusiness, Cybersecurity, Defence, Infrastructure, Manufacturing and Innovation.
The awards recognise and honour achievements based on technologies including machine learning, data monitoring, automation, IoT, virtual and augmented reality, prescriptive modelling and more.
The full list of finalists can be seen here and the winners will be announced at a gala dinner at the Sydney Museum of Contemporary Arts on 23 February 2021.
