Motorola Solutions names ANZ enterprise unit GM

Motorola Solutions has promoted David Arkles to the role of general manager for enterprise solutions in Australia and New Zealand.

A 20-year veteran of the ICT industry, Arkles has worked in executive roles including leadership of Ericsson’s enterprise and services division across Australia and the US. He has also had senior sales and marketing roles at companies including Ericsson, Wang and Volante.

“In addition to his leadership and business development expertise, David brings a wealth of experience and a strong passion for mentoring and building professional capability to help teams perform their best,” Steven Crutchfield, Motorola Solutions Australia and New Zealand managing director, said.

“He’s worked with some of the biggest names in the telecommunications industry and understands the critical factors that underpin success in the development and delivery of complex, multidisciplinary solutions.”

Arkles replaces Neale Joseph, following his promotion to vice president of channel sales for APAC and the Middle East.

Motorola Solutions was created in 2011, following the spin-off from Motorola’s mobile phones division into Motorola Mobility and the subsequent sale of that company to Google for around $13.2 billion (US$12.5 billion).

It sells communications products for enterprise and government customers, including public safety, two-way radio and wireless infrastructure offerings.
