UXC unit wins $20m deal with Melbourne Water

ICT infrastructure and services company UXC Connect has secured an infrastructure outsourcing contract with Melbourne Water worth over $20 million.

Under the deal, UXC Connect will deploy service desk, desktop support, network and server management and facilities management capabilities for the government organisation.

Melbourne Water recently implemented new unified communications and wide-area-network infrastructure from Cisco, and UXC connect will help manage this.

Melbourne Water is the statutory authority for most of Melbourne’s water systems.

UXC won the contract through a tender process. Melbourne Water CIO Viviann Zavlanos said UXC Connect was considered a good choice of outsourcing partner.

“Our focus in recent years has been finding an organisation that can provide the leveraged outsourcing expertise that delivers greater value and innovation. We are delighted to be working with UXC Connect, a company that meets these needs,” she said.

UXC Connect is a wholly owned subsidiary of UXC Limited. It is headquartered in Sydney, with local offices in six states.
