Acer restructures ANZ operations
Acer has revealed it is revamping its operations in Australia and New Zealand with a new business model and multiple new senior management appointments.
As part of the revamp, Acer Australia and New Zealand has been restructured into three business units — commercial, retail and distribution.
Under the new model, Acer has a dedicated sales and support team focused on strengthening its presence in the education, government and corporate sectors. Meanwhile the distribution segment will focus on re-energising the company’s SME channel market, with several strategies at an advanced stage of being developed.
Acer’s former New Zealand Country Manager, Cameron Anderson, has taken on the role of General Manager for Acer Australia Commercial Business and Acer New Zealand.
In addition, former Acer NSW Retail Manager Anna Viengkham has been promoted to National Retail Business Manager in charge of the new retail unit, while new appointment Ali Lokhandwala will take the role of Channel Sales Manager in charge of the distribution business unit.
Acer Australia and New Zealand Managing Director Gaba Cheng said the company has a strong pipeline of new products and solutions coming to Australia and New Zealand in the year ahead, which will include the launch of a new Acer brand, Acerpure, which will be offering a range of air treatment models.
“Our new business model is designed to support Acer’s growth aspirations in 2023 and beyond. It includes several new hires as well as promotions within the business,” he said.
“Not only is the new structure designed to make Acer Australia and New Zealand more dynamic and responsive in the current market, but it will also enable us to enhance our service and support to customers and drive long-term value.”
