Aussie execs to lead A/NZ operation of global consulting firm
Venture Consulting, a leading Australian Telecommunications, Media and Technology (TMT) consulting firm, has been acquired by Altman Solon, a global strategy consulting firm. Venture Consulting will operate as part of Altman Solon in Australia and New Zealand, under the leadership of two of the region’s TMT advisors: Justin Jameson, founder of Venture Consulting, and David Bornstein, a prior leader of Oliver Wyman’s ANZ Communications, Media and Technology practice.
“I am delighted that my team and I are joining a global consulting firm that shares our values and passion for TMT. After 11 years building close relationships with our clients, this is an exciting next step for them, and all of our team who are making the transition with us today to expand Altman Solon’s impressive global reputation in Australia and NZ and provide significant value for our clients,” said Justin James, Partner at Altman Solon.
As part of the acquisition, all of Venture Consulting’s employees will join Altman Solon. With the new acquisition, Altman Solon has 11 offices worldwide, including an office in Singapore that opened earlier this year. The new Sydney and Singapore offices will serve as dual Asia Pacific (APAC) hubs for the region’s growing demand for rapid and tailor-made solutions for companies and investors active in the TMT sectors.
“Justin and I share Altman Solon’s commitment to building the leading TMT-specialised consulting firm in our region. Coming together was an easy decision. As Altman Solon, we now bring deep global expertise and capabilities of the world’s leading TMT strategy specialist to our clients, while continuing with the same local insights, experience and connections,” said David Bornstein, Partner at Altman Solon.
As a leading global strategy consulting firm with a focus on the TMT sectors, Altman Solon has worked with major telcos, media firms and technology providers. Venture Consulting has been advising leading TMT companies across Australia and New Zealand for the last 11 years. The deal marks the culmination of a long-running client services partnership between Altman Solon and Venture Consulting.
