Barhead, Microsoft helping FSI pursue transformation
Australian consulting company Barhead is working with Microsoft to help financial services industry (FSI) organisations pursue digital transformation.
Barhead has been selected as an Inner Circle Microsoft partner based on its expertise with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. The company, which has a dedicated financial services and insurance practice, is partnering with firms across the industry on their transformation.
Barhead CEO and co-founder Ken Struthers said one of the company’s first customers following its founding in 2018 was within the financial services industry.
“From there on, we continued to develop and create innovative Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions. Now we’ve expanded to different cross-functional solutions for not-for-profit, local government and soon health care,” he said.
Barhead’s financial services practice is led by David Hodgson, who has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry at ANZ, AMP, Commonwealth Bank, BNP Paribas and JP Morgan.
“We are a consulting firm that understands financial services, but we’re also much more than that. For our customers, you’re also getting technologists who are on the cutting edge of the solutions that Microsoft are building,” Struthers said.
“A good example is where we’re working with Microsoft on the Financial Services cloud. We’re looking ahead at the roadmap of the solutions they’re creating for the global Financial Services cloud, figuring out where the gaps could be and what our customers need to take advantage of.”
