HCLTech, OpenAI enter strategic services partnership
India-based IT consulting company HCLTech has entered into a multi-year collaboration agreement with OpenAI aimed at driving enterprise adoption of generative AI.
As part of the agreement, HCLTech’s global client base will be able to leverage OpenAI’s artificial intelligence products alongside the company’s own foundational and applied AI offerings to enable scaled GenAI deployment. HCLTech has also committed to embedding OpenAI’s models and solutions across its solutions and platform, including its flagship service transformation platform, AI Force.
Other platforms and products set to take advantage of OpenAI capabilities include AI, data and infrastructure blueprint AI Foundry, and AI Engineering, as well as HCLTech’s line of industry-specific AI accelerators. Internally, HCLTech plans to roll out ChatGPT Enterprise and OpenAI APIs to provide its employees with enterprise-grade GenAI tools.
HCLTech global CTO and Head of Ecosystems Vijay Guntur said the company is honoured to be one of the first strategic services partners to OpenAI.
“This collaboration underscores our commitment to empowering Global 2000 enterprises with transformative AI solutions,” he said. “It reaffirms HCLTech’s robust engineering heritage and aligns with OpenAI’s spirit of innovation. Together, we are driving a new era of AI-powered transformation across our offerings and operations at a global scale.”
