iseek acquires two data centres in Adelaide
Digital infrastructure operator iseek has acquired South Australian data centre operator YourDC, expanding its footprint into Adelaide.
YourDC owns and operates two data centres in Adelaide, and provides co-location and connectivity services to government, defence and enterprise customers. The company provides South Australia’s only Tier 3 rated data centre.
With the acquisition, iseek now operates seven data centres across Brisbane, Northern Queensland, Sydney and Adelaide.
YourDC co-founder and CEO Scott Hicks will continue to operate the business, leading its existing management team.
According to iseek founder and CEO Jason Gomersall, the acquisition is expected to play a game-changing role for the company. “It provides us a large footprint in South Australia, strengthens our national offering, and increases our exposure within the defence and education sectors,” he said.
“Importantly, YourDC’s customer-centric culture aligns with ours and we are retaining its high-performing team and valuable long-term customer relationships.”
YourDC will also be able to leverage iseek’s platform to cross-sell additional digital infrastructure solutions to its customers, he added.
