Kyndryl enters alliance with Databricks

Mission-critical technology services provider Kyndryl has entered a strategic partnership with data and AI company Databricks to help drive digital transformation. The companies say the agreement will combine Kyndryl’s data and AI services with the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform to help their customers modernise their IT environments and more cost-effectively achieve their business goals.

Under the alliance, Kyndryl will provide modernisation services including end-to-end data services, AI adoption consulting and support to customers leveraging the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.

Kyndryl will also support customers in combining their SAP and enterprise data through the SAP Business Data Cloud and SAP Databricks, and will utilise its mainframe expertise to deliver Databricks customers with analytical insights.

Kyndryl Global Strategic Alliances Leader Giovanni Carraro said the agreement will be mutually beneficial.

“Partnering with Databricks furthers our ability to support customers and drive business growth by establishing the right digital foundation and providing complete application and data modernisation services,” he said. “Together, we’ll expand the reach of Kyndryl’s services through the delivery of integrated solutions that enterprises need to enable AI at scale and reap the benefits of their digital transformation journeys.”

Databricks VP of Consulting and Solutions Integrators Jason McIntyre said the two companies are closely matched.

“As enterprise demand for data intelligence grows, Kyndryl’s end-to-end services, experience managing and modernising customers’ IT environments and strong relationships, make them key partners in driving customer adoption of Databricks,” he said. “We look forward to supporting our joint customers in modernising their data and achieving their business goals.”
