Salesforce and Anthropic announce expanded partnership

Salesforce and Claude AI developer Anthropic have announced an expanded partnership aimed at combining the capabilities of both platforms. As part of the Claudeforce partnership, the companies have launched Salesforce in Claude, a plugin for the AI tool with 37 pre-built sales skills for sellers and agents to take action from within the platform.

Salesforce in Claude enables users to analyse live revenue context, automate pipeline updates and take action from the Claude platform. The companies plan to progressively introduce more integrations across Claude, Salesforce and Slack.

The Salesforce in Claude plugin utilises AIforce, Salesforce’s own enterprise AI tool that enables businesses to utilise their data and workflows with any agent through model context protocol servers, APIs and command-line interface tools. Capabilities include meeting preparation, deal health review and pipeline review, and have been designed to draw on Claude’s reasoning, agentic tool use and generative UI.

Within the Salesforce platform, Claude will be made available in Agentforce as the reasoning model for the Atlas Reasoning Engine, and within the Salesforce Trust Boundary through Amazon Bedrock.

Salesforce CEO Mark Benioff said the partnership will be mutually beneficial.

“We’re bringing together the world’s number one AI and number one CRM — the best of both worlds. Today, we’re launching Claudeforce, running directly on top of Salesforce via our new AIforce UI harness, Headless 360, Data 360, Tableau and Slack,” he said. “By fusing Claude’s extraordinary reasoning with the trusted data, workflows and governance every enterprise runs on, we’re delivering a dynamic interface that thinks, reasons and acts.”

Salesforce in Claude is already available to select pilot customers and expected to launch into open beta in September. Additional skills will begin launching in late 2026.

Salesforce and Anthropic are already customers of each other, with Salesforce being Anthropic’s preferred CRM platform and used to connect communication, workflows and agents through Slack, and Claude being the AI model powering Slackbot for Salesforce customers and employees.
