Connect 2014, a new ICT exhibition aimed at showcasing Australian digital economy innovations, has been scheduled for 13-15 March next year.

The event will be hosted in Melbourne at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Its focus will be the way high-speed broadband, mobility, cloud computing and big data are converging to create a connectivity revolution.

Connect 2014 will consist of an exhibition and conference program aimed at business, trade and industry. On the third day, the event will also be opened up to consumers.

It will cover areas such as connected healthcare, M2M, enterprise mobility, connected learning and connected retail.

The conference program will include six business conferences exploring topics including connectivity, supply chain management, mobile workforce applications for smarter living, entertainment, next-generation medical devices and next-generation learning.

Confirmed speakers include Google Director of Engineering Ray Kurzweil, 3D Robotics founder and former Wired editor-in-chief Chris Anderson, and Telstra CTO Dr Hugh Bradlow. Representatives from the CSIRO, Deloitte, Infonomics and Aegis will also be presenting.

Connect 2014 is being organised by Association and Communications Events, in partnership with the Victorian Government and NBN Co. Samsung will be a foundation partner.
