Bitdefender launches tool for triaging security threats
Bitdefender has launched a solution aimed at helping organisations uncover, prioritise and mitigate their most critical security exposures before they can be exploited.
The platform, GravityZone Exposure Management, allows enterprises to root out risks across both internal and external attack surfaces. It consolidates findings from across the threat environment into a single view, allowing lean security teams to triage threats in the era of rapid AI-driven attack cycles.
Security teams can discover unpatched operating systems and third party vulnerabilities, insecure settings and risky user behaviour on endpoints, while the External Attack Surface Management component monitors internet-facing assets for shadow IT, misconfigured services and exposed subdomains. Risks are ranked by potential endpoint, and the solution can provide prioritisation guidance and posture improvement tracked over time.
Meanwhile, the solution can be used to map vulnerabilities and exposures to possible routes an attacker would follow during an attack to compromise sensitive data and privileged accounts, and to monitor user behaviour to autonomously restrict the tools that can be abused in living-off-the-land attacks.
Bitdefender’s recent 2026 Cybersecurity Assessment Survey found that the top barriers to reducing attack surfaces included difficulty maintaining hardening rules (38%), fear of operational disruption (35.4%) and resource constraints (34.6%). Cybercriminal use of AI has meanwhile increased both the speed and volume of attacks, making a pre-emptive approach more critical than ever, according to Bitdefender Business Solutions Group President and GM Andrei Florescu.
“As the attack surface expands, AI and automated scanning have made it incredibly easy for adversaries to find an unpatched server or over-privileged user that gives them a foothold inside an environment,” he said. “GravityZone Exposure Management gives lean teams control of their attack surface. It learns normal activity for each user and dynamically adapts hardening as behaviour and threats evolve, and with added AI visibility, it does the same for AI agents.”
