CrowdStrike achieves ISO certification for AI security

CrowdStrike has achieved ISO 42001 certification for its CrowdStrike Falcon platform, validating its approach to responsible AI-powered cybersecurity.

The ISO/IEC 42001:2030 standard provides organisations with a global framework for navigating emerging AI standards and regulatory expectations. The certification spans all components of the Falcon platform, including CrowdStrike Endpoint Security, Falcon Insight XDR and CrowdStrike Charlotte AI.

Attaining the certification follows an extensive audit conducted by an independent, accredited certification body. The assessment involved an evaluation of the company’s entire AI management system, including governance, policies, risk management and development practices for designing, deploying and operating AI responsibly.

CrowdStrike President Michael Sentonas said the company has become one of the first cybersecurity companies globally to achieve certification under the first AI management system standard.

“For a cybersecurity vendor, responsible AI governance is foundational. This certification validates the maturity, discipline and leadership behind how we develop and operate AI across the Falcon platform,” he said.

The Falcon platform is designed to continuously analyse user behaviour and deliver real-time protection across an organisation’s attack surface. The Charlotte AI component aims to ensure security teams can maintain full oversight of AI-driven decisions and determine when and how AI-driven and automated actions can occur.
