Extreme Networks launches ZTNA solution
Cloud networking company Extreme Networks has launched a new identity-based network access solution that aims to simplify the process of providing secure network access.
The ExtremeCloud Universal Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solution combined cloud network access control with ZTNA into a software-as-a-service based offering. The platform provides a single zero trust policy engine for both networks and applications for improved consistency and observability.
Features include the ability to automate the identification of private networks accessed within the organisation, evaluate application access issues directly within the dashboard, and automatically enforce policies across the Extreme Networks portfolio.
Extreme Networks head of security strategy David Nuti said the new platform has been developed to address the convergence of networking and cybersecurity and tackle the increased complexity involved with supporting hybrid work models.
“To make a dent in this complexity, organisations are moving away from legacy VPN and firewall solutions,” he said. “Extreme Networks has transformed secure connectivity with a single solution that offers dynamic policy enforcement and seamless identity-based access while lowering operational costs, significantly improving time to value and removing the pain associated with managing multiple licences.”
