Customers of Westpac, St George, Bank SA and Bank of Melbourne now have access to a one-year free subscription to Bitdefender’s Internet Security 2012, thanks to a partnership between the Westpac Group and the information security company.

To access the free offering, customers are directed to sign in to their online banking account and select “Security” from the menu. From there they must click the “1 year full protection” link and follow the sign-up instructions.

The Internet Security 2012 suite offers antivirus, antispam, firewall and parental controls, as well as social networking protection against malicious pages and privacy threats.

More details are available on the Westpac website.
