HPE unveils new security tools at Black Hat USA
HPE has expanded its cybersecurity, resiliency and compliance portfolio with a range of new solutions driven by AI and other emerging technologies.
At Black Hat USA this week, the company announced a new Secure Access Service Edge copilot for HPE Aruba Networking EdgeConnect designed to provide AI-driven insights on network activity, security gaps and other important metrics. The AI assistant analyses network and security conditions to provide insights into common issues such as open ports, unpatched systems and security gaps while helping monitor network activity.
Meanwhile, the HPE Aruba Networking Central Network Access Control solution has been expanded with functionality including the ability to enforce security policies for HPE Juniper and third-party vendors. The platform also now supports proactive threat defence with URL filtering to deliver real-time threat intelligence.
HPE has also announced the launch into general availability of the HPE Alletra Storage MP X10000 data protection solution, which is designed to provide backup and restore capabilities with backup speeds of up to 1.2 Pb per hour. The all-flash solution can also optimise storage efficiency with an up to 60:1 data reduction through the HPE StoreOnce Catalyst Software.
HPE also announced additions to its Zerto Software including a new integration hub for third-party cybersecurity solutions. At launch, the hub supports CrowdStrike products. Integration between CrowdStrike and HPE Zerto can enable organisations to minimise the impact of ransomware and other advanced threats, according to CrowdStrike Chief Business Officer Daniel Bernard.
“Our partnership with HPE reflects CrowdStrike’s commitment to delivering integrated, outcome-driven solutions that keep customers ahead of today’s adversaries,” he said. “By combining the power of the AI-native Falcon platform with HPE Zerto’s recovery capabilities, we’re enabling organisations to stop breaches, minimise downtime and maintain business continuity — even in the face of ransomware and other disruptive threats.”
HPE Networking SVP for APJ Mark Ablett said security solutions need to evolve to adapt to the ever-increasing scale and sophistication of cyberthreats.
“More and more Australian businesses are experiencing the increasing risks these attacks bring firsthand,” he said. “The future of security lies in AI-driven systems that embed resilience and adaptability at their core. Our new expanded solutions demonstrate HPE’s commitment to supporting and empowering Australian organisations to not only defend against today’s complex threats, but to build a stronger, more proactive security posture for the challenges ahead.”
