Rubrik launches Salesforce Data Protection

Data security company Rubrik has launched a Salesforce Data Protection solution aimed at helping customers mitigate the risk of downtime to their financial operations.

The new backup and recovery solution for Salesforce Core Platform Data is powered by the Rubrik Security Cloud, a unified platform that consolidates data protection across cloud and on-premises environments.

The solution allows users to optimise recovery point and time objectives by quickly and precisely identifying the root cause of an incident. It features an intuitive interface for easy configuration and management of backups, and is designed to seamlessly integrate into the Rubrik Security Cloud.

Rubrik Chief Product Officer Anneka Gupta said the solution has been built on a zero-trust architecture to protect customers against unauthorised access and ransomware attacks.

“Extending Rubrik’s data protection capabilities, Salesforce Data Protection helps Salesforce admins, IT, and security leaders proactively establish a reliable backup and recovery strategy,” she said. “When they do find themselves in the wake of a data loss incident, operations can return to ‘business as usual’ quickly — all within a single platform designed to simplify management, reduce costs, and enhance security.”

Rubrik plans to showcase its new solution at Dreamforce 2024 in San Francisco in September. Dreamforce is Salesforce’s three-day partner innovation event.
