SailPoint updates its identity security platform
Enterprise identity security company SailPoint has announced a modernisation of its identity platform, including additional capabilities for its SailPoint Human Fabric real-time access management suite.
The updates include a re-platformed certification engine designed to handle enterprise-scale access reviews without record limits or data delays. This removes the need for administrators to manually split large campaigns.
Other updates include an enhanced separation of duties engine that can provide real-time evaluation capable of proactively blocking dangerous access combinations at the moment of request, and an AI-powered agent that allows users to make access requests in natural language directly from their chat tools.
As part of the refresh, SailPoint also announced the release of its on-premises solution IdentityIQ. The 9.0 version of the solution introduces a parallel modernisation path for hybrid and on-premises deployments. The update enables granular time-based access for roles and entitles for improved governance. The solution’s technical foundation has also been rebuilt, and the user experience refreshed in a way that streamlines access reviews and application definition.
In addition, the 9.0 release is accompanied by an automated upgrade tool that scans a customer’s environment and takes care of much of the manual work required to update.
SailPoint EVP of Product and CTO Chandra Gnanasambandam said most vendors ask their customers to choose between a growth story or a stewardship story.
“But the reality of the modern enterprise is not that simple. Today, we are delivering on both fronts. We are advancing the frontier of cloud identity security with Human Fabric while also demonstrating our commitment to the customers who rely on IdentityIQ for identity security,” he said. “This is one modernisation effort on two fronts, ensuring every customer has a path forward without compromise.”
