Semperis launches Lightning Intelligence platform
Cyber resilience company Semperis has launched a new platform for providing security posture assessments for hybrid Active Directory and Entra ID environments.
The new solution, Lightning Intelligence, is the second addition to Semperis’s Lightning threat detection and response platform. It tracks an organisation’s security posture across multi-forest Microsoft Active Directory and multi-tenant Microsoft Entra ID environments and then provides security trend reports.
The platform has been designed to address the requirements for easy deployment and automated scanning frequently requested by small and mid-sized businesses. It scans environments and displays security scores for each forest or tenant in a single dashboard.
Lightning Intelligence is capable of both scheduled and on-demand scanning for indicators of exposure, using indicators that are constantly updated by Semperis’s security research team. The platform can be rapidly deployed in a software-as-a-service configuration.
The first component of the Lightning Platform, a machine learning-based attack pattern direction solution known as Lightning Identity Runtime Protection, was introduced in May last year.
Semperis CEO Mickey Bresman said the company plans to continue adding solutions to the platform in order to address the persistent challenges faced by its customers.
“Cyber attacks that move between the online and on-prem identity systems have been hard to detect and remediate, leading to devastating attacks across every industry,” he said. “Lightning Intelligence provides a simple way to track overall security posture, with a flexible deployment model as a SaaS or an on-prem offering."
