Trellix strenghtens ANZ presence
Trellix plans to grow its footprint in Australia and New Zealand by democratising its extended detection and response (XDR) capabilities in the region. The company was formed through the merger of McAfee Enterprise and FireEye.
Citing increased cyber threat and frequency of attacks, coupled with a talent crunch in the sector, Trellix says it is time to focus on XDR capability across the region. This will be done by increasing R&D investment, upskilling security and IT teams in automation, machine learning and threat intelligence, and strengthening partnerships.
“With strong technical capabilities, ANZ is a region with a track record in early adoption of technology. The region has seen rapid digitisation in the span of a few years and, because of this, organisations of all sizes are increasingly becoming prime targets for cybercriminals and being increasingly used as launch pads for cyber attacks,” said Adam Philpott, Chief Revenue Officer.
“What we’re seeing today is the rising demand for fresh, new ways to approach cybersecurity. Organisations in ANZ are seeking strong security foundations that can adapt and learn as the threat landscape evolves, and this is where we come in with our living security approach and XDR capabilities,” he said.
