VAST Data partners with CrowdStrike to secure AI stack
AI operating system company VAST Data has entered into a collaboration with CrowdStrike aimed at helping secure enterprise AI, analytics and multi-tenant environments at the foundational data level.
Under the agreement, the companies will combine VAST’s native data-layer governance and platform-level controls with CrowdStrike’s threat detection and automated response capabilities within the VAST AI Operating System.
The partnership seeks to help enterprises secure the AI lifecycle, from development to production, by integrating detection, workflow scanning and response into the environments used to build, train and operate AI systems. Sharing telemetry between enterprise operations at the data layer will help organisations gain earlier detection and coordinated response while minimising operational disruption.
VAST Data Founder and CEO Renen Hallak said the partnership “extends continuous threat detection and coordinated response into AI workflows and runtime environments — helping customers operate enterprise AI with greater confidence as they scale”.
The partnership also extends to covering the partners’ existing collaboration with NVIDIA to help secure AI across the stack.
CrowdStrike CEO and Founder George Kurtz said AI is fast becoming the operating system of the modern enterprise.
“VAST operates at the data layer where AI comes to life, and CrowdStrike secures where enterprise value is created. Together, we’re securing AI at its foundation,” he said.
