Cloudera launches AI platform for hybrid environments
Cloudera has launched a platform for building, deploying and scaling data and AI applications across multi-cloud and on-premises environments. The Cloudera Anywhere Cloud solution is designed to operate either standalone or as part of existing large data lakes, to provide users with a unified cloud experience.
The platform is powered by Cloudera’s AI agent to allow teams to automate workflows and launch AI capabilities within their proprietary data estates. It supports self-service provisioning and automated management.
Cloudera says IT teams can use the platform to focus on solving important business use cases instead of navigating software mechanics. The solution leverages open standards within Apache Iceberg, and customers can deploy popular engines such as Spark, Kafka or Trino as well as other open-source or partner engines. For enhanced security, the platform can help IT teams maintain zero-trust governance across distributed data estates and full digital sovereignty.
Cloudera Chief Product Officer Leo Brunnick said the launch reflects the reality that enterprise AI has outgrown the public-cloud-only model.
“Organisations shouldn’t have to choose between innovation and control. Cloudera Anywhere Cloud brings the speed and flexibility of the cloud directly to enterprise data,” he said. “This allows enterprises to accelerate AI initiatives, while maintaining complete ownership of their data and intellectual property, all while optimising the cost of their infrastructure, tokens and business models.”
