Boomi launches API management tool

Integration and automation company Boomi has launched an API management solution designed to help enterprises transform APIs into strategic growth drivers.

The Boomi API Management solution, which has been incorporated into the Boomi Enterprise Platform, comprises Boomi’s existing API management offering with capabilities acquired from Cloud Software Group and APIIDA during a transaction completed in May last year.

The solution includes support for both Boomi and third-party API gateways. It aims to help enterprises close security gaps, address API sprawl and take advantage of technology investments.

Key capabilities include the ability to transform existing data, applications and AI assets into scalable APIs; eliminate shadow APIs by unifying and governing existing APIs; and connect APIs with applications, data and AI. Boomi API Management is powered by AI agents and can provide management and IT teams with visibility across an enterprise’s entire API environment.

Boomi Chief Product and Technology Officer Ed Macosky said APIs are playing a vital role in the AI era.

“Managing them effectively is crucial for success,” he said. “Boomi API Management unlocks the full potential of APIs, accelerating growth and digital transformation. By uniting industry-leading integration, automation and data management, Boomi sets a new standard for API management and AI innovation — helping organisations achieve business outcomes faster.”
