Canon acquires WA IT service provider Satalyst
Canon Business Services ANZ has announced plans to acquire Western Australian IT service provider and Microsoft partner Satalyst to advance its growth in the region.
Satalyst is a Microsoft cloud and security partner which primarily services customers in Western Australia, Queensland and South Australia.
The company has a portfolio of services which span multiple domains, enhancing Canon’s core product areas while expanding its capability into application, DevOps, data and AI.
The acquisition will be used to help grow the fledgling Canon Business Services ANZ, which was recently created through the merger of the two specialist brands of Harbour IT and Converga. Canon Business Services and the Australian and New Zealand markets are both strategic areas of focus for Canon in 2022.
The key focus areas for Canon Business Services are security, cloud and automation, according to CEO Luke Clark, making Satalyst highly complementary.
“Satalyst is an excellent strategic and technical fit that broadens our capabilities and supports our commitment to local innovation, businesses and services,” he said.
“The business shares our values, is aligned with our customer portfolio, and has enjoyed significant growth during the past two years. We’re thrilled to have them join the CBS family, growing our application, data and AI capability while deepening our security offering.”
