Cognizant launches AI agent development tool
Global consultancy Cognizant has launched a new solution designed to help enterprises design, deploy and orchestrate autonomous AI agents.
Cognizant Agent Foundry utilises both Coginzant and third-party IP to support the delivery of continuous, agent-driven consultation, including adaptive operations, real-time decision making, and personalised customer experiences. The company says the platform-agnostic solution can integrate with existing enterprise systems and major AI platforms such as ServiceNow, Salesforce and WRITER.
The solution is designed to support the full lifecycle of agent deployments, starting with the discovery phase, and moving to the design, build and scale phases. It supports enterprise-grade governance and includes foundational elements including domain-specific language models, industrialised agent templates and a pre-built library of existing agents to use to accelerate deployment and reduce development cycles.
Cognizant Global Head of AI and Analytics Naveen Sharma said the platform has been designed to support the emerging new phase of enterprise transformation, involving embedding AI deeply into the organisation.
“Cognizant Agent Foundry helps our clients operationalise AI through a flexible, scalable framework that brings together the best of our own IP, industry expertise and trusted partner technologies to bring the agentic enterprise to life,” he said.
The platform is compliant with global standards including the UK’s General Data Protection Regulation, the US-based Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and the EU AI Act.
