Coupa appoints new senior VP
Coupa Software has appointed Mark Innes as Senior Vice President – Sales, APJ, in a move to expand its presence in the region.
With over 20 years of experience managing sales teams in APJ for major multinational technology companies such as Google, Salesforce and Oracle, Innes will be responsible for driving Coupa’s platform sales, building strategic industry partnerships and expanding the company’s relationship with major suppliers in the region.
In his role, Innes will play a pivotal role in helping Coupa achieve its goal of transforming the back office, which is often one of the last areas to be impacted by digital transformation, and assisting organisations in maximising value and operationalising their purpose through their business spend.
“We have made fantastic headway in the region and built a solid foundation of employees, customer and partner network. I look forward to furthering our scale and equipping more businesses with the digital solutions they need to build financial resilience,” Innes said.
The CFO’s role has become more complex due to various factors such as rising interest rates, economic uncertainty and the possibility of a recession. In this uncertain environment, businesses are under pressure to reassess their spending priorities and ensure that they remain profitable and productive, and account for their purpose in environmental, social and governance aspects. Innes said the company’s solution will help deliver on these goals.
“CFOs are under increasing pressure to cut costs, without compromising long-term growth. By providing accurate data on spend, CFOs can make informed decisions to optimise financial performance and drive their business forward,” he said.
