ECU adopts Tribal solution to manage admissions
WA’s Edith Cowan University (ECU) has adopted a cloud-based software-as-a-service solution from Tribal Group to help streamline and manage the admissions process.
The university has implemented Tribal Admissions to manage its annual influx of over 60,000 admission applications.
The project was motivated by the need to find a solution that could provide automation and streamline workflows to aid decision-making and reduce manual efforts and errors.
As a modular solution, Tribal Admission was selected to help avoid the need for a potential multi-year implementation period before seeing results. ECU was selected to take part in Tribal’s Early Adopter Program for Tribal Admissions, and the implementation was completed through a condensed 18-month program.
ECU Director of Student Administrations Peter Corbett said the implementation process went smoothly. “While fully aware that the transition pathway to Tribal Edge Admissions might entail a lengthier process, through leveraging our existing resources and without any supplementary financial commitment, we have accomplished a remarkable success in a span of only 18 months,” he said.
“ECU’s immediate objective is to initiate a pilot program with a select cohort, ultimately working towards the goal of transitioning all domestic and international admissions to the Tribal Admissions platform.”
ECU has been a Tribal customer since 2004, and has already been using the vendor’s student management system Callista and its statutory reporting solution, Tribal Submissions.
