Fujitsu opens first Australian Digital Transformation Centre

Fujitsu’s first Australian Digital Transformation Centre (DTC) has opened in Sydney to help accelerate innovation and enhance value for Australian and New Zealand organisations.

The Macquarie University-based DTC is the latest in a network of Fujitsu DTCs established in Tokyo, Osaka, Munich, London and New York and is expected to help organisations leverage emerging digital technologies by providing them with space, resources and technology, business and academic skills and expertise to solve business problems and develop ideas that could lead to new revenue sources.

Fujitsu Australia and New Zealand Chief Executive Officer Mike Foster said, “As Australian businesses continue to adapt to the challenges of the new digital age and what it means for their businesses, the DTC will provide an invaluable resource to help them identify ways to become a disruptor rather than be disrupted.

“We have a strong focus on encouraging innovation, and the DTC is a place where imagination can meet possibility to shape a successful digital future. Working closely with Macquarie University paves the way for future collaborative ventures between Fujitsu and the university, where corporate and academia can work together on innovative projects that would benefit from a diversity of talent.”

Fujitsu will host regular workshops focused on real-world problems and will also make the DTC facilities available to organisations that are interested in running ‘Co-creation’ sessions to help solve specific business problems. Workshop materials and content will be translated to digital content on interactive whiteboards and screens, with scanners at each desk, the company said.
