New AustCyber CEO announced
A new CEO has taken over at AustCyber, with Michelle Price taking on the role following Craig Davies’ decision to step down.
Doug Elix and Adrian Turner, co-chairs of AustCyber’s board, said her appointment reflects the organisation’s focus on program implementation following a successful initial 12 months of operation.
“Price is a respected senior executive in the cybersecurity sector and has also worked strategically across policy and academia,” said Elix and Turner in a statement. “As Chief Operating Officer at AustCyber, over the past 15 months, Ms Price has demonstrated her ability to lead change across the cyber security ecosystem, as well as to identify and forge partnerships that deliver new growth opportunities for Australia’s economy, both domestically and abroad.”
Price will head the upcoming US Cyber Security Trade mission, which AustCyber is leading in partnership with Austrade.
“Very excited to be taking on the role of CEO at AustCyber. My sincere thanks to @crdavies for our first 12+ months of a nation-changing mission. I look forward to continuing our many partnerships across the economy and across the world to spread #ozcyber capability #gameon,” Price wrote on Twitter.
