Dell launches latest PowerMaxOS version
Dell Technologies has launched the latest release of its PowerMaxOS mission-critical storage platform. Version 10.4 of the platform introduces features such as advanced ransomware protection.
Other enhanced cyber resilience capabilities include expanded Zero Trust integrations with identity service providers, and single sign-in support for Okta, Ping Identity’s PingFederate and Microsoft’s Entra ID. The platform now also promises up to 25% faster read response times for workloads protected using the Dell Symmetrix Remote Data Facility, improving performance for high-demand applications.
Dell said the revised platform also has improved application modernisation support, including faster VMware migration and accelerated Red Hat OpenShift provisioning. Customers can now migrate VMware virtual machines up to 10 times faster, while enhanced EST API support enables up to seven times faster storage cluster provisioning for OpenShift Container Platforms.
Another added feature is support for Connectrix 128 Gb Fibre Channel SAN technology to bring always‑on AES‑256 encryption, advanced cryptographic capabilities and AI‑driven autonomy to mission-critical environments.
In a statement, Dell said PowerMaxOS 10.4 represents the future of mission-critical storage, and is designed to combine performance, security and deep ecosystem integration.
