Intelledox’s software-as-a-service system for creating documents has been implemented by the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA) to automate the creation of low-cost legal contract templates as part of AIIA.biz, a new member portal to provide online business support to members.

Through the web portal members can access a knowledge bank of legal and commercial information and services, from HR to legal contracts. The smart Intelledox document engine takes the complexity and the cost out of creating legal documents. It takes specific customer information and dynamically structures the legal document to include all required contractual clauses, delivering only the exact information required in the final document. Free legal advice is also included in the AIIA.biz service.

The total cost of creating the legal document through AIIA.biz is substantially lower than conventional methods, potentially by as much as 75%, enabling smaller companies to have access to proper contractual protections when they do business.

The web portal and associated services were developed by Maat Solutions, which selected Intelledox as the right automated document creation software, being both the most cost-effective solution and the best fit.

“In the end, we were very happy to find that the software vendor closest to home — and an AIIA member — was the best solution,” said Ben Shepherd, Managing Director of Maat Solutions. “Intelledox was both more sophisticated and yet simpler to use than other similar products. The user interface was much less complex, and uploading documents and question sets was also much simpler — with the end result being a very sophisticated service.”

Shepherd said that creating templates and question sets was also very straightforward, with no need for involvement from IT professionals — both a time and cost saving. Intelledox’s availability as a software-as-a-service solution also simplified the infrastructure behind AIIA.biz.

Maat believes there are considerable opportunities to provide similar online business services for industry associations around the world using Intelledox.
