Elsight wins contract with Brazil's Speedbird Aero
ASX-listed drone connectivity solutions provider Elsight has scored a new contract to provide its Halo bonded connectivity solution to Brazil’s Speedbird Aero.
Under the contract, Speedbird Aero plans to use Israel-based Elsight’s solution to control its drones beyond the visual line of sight for its planned drone-base parcel delivery service.
Elsight has already delivered the first order of Halo sets and expects subsequent orders over the next few years.
Speedbird Aero will be the first customer served under the new as-as-service delivery model introduced by Elisght earlier this year.
The new model marks an attempt to reduce the company’s reliance on upfront hardware sales and allow it to continue earning revenue even after the sales have been closed, according to Elsight CEO Yoav Amitai.
“This contract signature with Speedbird continues to confirm the success of our design-win strategy and the growth implications within the extended drone industry,” he said.
“We are delighted to have been chosen as a partner by Speedbird as they leverage Halo’s connectivity solution, ensuring complete connection confidence to their entire drone fleet for commercial deliveries.”
Elsight has revealed the contract has a minimum value for 2022 of US$72,000, with the potential to reach around US$520,000 during 2023.
