Women in Tech Fest event to explore keys to career success

Women in technology-related roles will have the chance to network, hone their leadership skills and hear about the latest industry trends at this year’s Women in Tech Fest.

The conference, to be held in Brisbane next month, will explore the ways businesses are using blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), drones and big data in the real world, and what Australia needs to do to succeed in the industry over the next decade.

Google Head of Cloud Partnerships and Alliances Rhody Burton will discuss the biggest challenges and opportunities to advancing a tech career, while Full Potential Labs/Don’t Stop Us Now! Podcast Co-Founders and Co-Hosts, Claire Hatton and Greta Thomas, will share lessons they’ve learned from ‘some of the world’s most successful women’, along with tips and tools from their own careers.

Attendees will have opportunities to meet and hear from: IBM Data and AI US Vice President, New Offerings and Emerging Technology, Dr Joanna Batsone; CSIRO’s Data 61 Cyber Physical Systems Research Director, Sue Keay; Australian Minister for Industry, Science and Technology, Karen Andrews; Taiwan Digital Minister, Audrey Tang; and Commonwealth Bank of Australia General Manager, Cyber Strategy and Performance, Kate Ingwersen.

A 10% discount is available for Technology Decisions’ readers registering with the code TD10.

Full details on the 6–8 November event can be found via the Women in Tech Fest website.
