Zoho launches Ulaa Enterprise secure browser

App developer Zoho has launched an enterprise-grade version of its privacy-focused Ulaa browser designed to help companies prevent threats at the browser level. Ulaa Enterprise aims to balance enterprise-grade security with ease of use and customisation without the need to deploy third-party tools or virtual environments.

The browser offers security features including centralised policy management for admins, as well as data loss prevention capabilities at the browser layer including blocks on unauthorised uploads, screen captures and downloads of sensitive data.

The browser is also integrated with Zoho’s automation and insights AI agent Zia, which can perform tasks including detecting phishing attempts before users click by analysing URLs and page behaviour to block threats in real time. Zia can also automatically categorise websites and block unsafe content, and automatically organise tabs based on user behaviour.

To ensure a simplified user experience for general employees, Ulaa has been designed to work across all major desktop and mobile platforms, conduct targeted security monitoring without invasive surveillance and allow policy changes to propagate instantly without a performance overhead.

Zoho Chief Evangelist Raju Vegesna said the browser has been designed to address a growing problem faced by enterprises in the cloud applications era.

“The shift to cloud-based software has made the browser the largest attack surface inside an organisation, yet no software vendor has been able to produce a secure browser that strikes the correct balance between depth of policy controls and straightforward usability,” he said. “Ulaa Enterprise addresses the need for a proactive and comprehensive security solution for businesses to reduce their attack surface, keep users secure, and stay in control of their security.”
