AppSense Xtraction for DesktopNow is a connector that provides easy access to real-time data from the management server and personalisation server, to present data using dashboards and reports.

The product is an easy-to-use dashboard and reporting tool which enables IT to easily share desktop environment data and view real-time details on user experience, logon performance and endpoint security data.

The data enables users to visualise the state of their IT environments and supports a range of security and user experience use cases. These include ‘at-a-glance dashboards’, where administrators have an instant overview of metrics such as active users, database size, average profile sizes, personalised application counts, logon counts and other user activity; ‘most blocked applications’, where administrators are able to present a live view of the top executables which have been prevented within an organization; and ‘most allowed applications’, where administrators are able to present a live view of the top executables which have been permitted within an organisation, for licensing purposes or identifying security incidents.
