HP Utility Services infrastructure and applications as a service

Friday, 14 January, 2011

HP Utility Services is a subscription-based cloud service that provides technology as a utility - deploying what is needed as it is needed.

With predefined, prebuilt, standardised infrastructure delivered as a service, the service accelerates the provisioning of next-generation infrastructure to support business growth and initiatives. The service bridges the technology gap as it helps users accelerate business growth that can sometimes be hampered by ageing facilities, legacy systems and reduced budgets.

Features include: it leverages HP investments in service management, data centre infrastructures and IT engineering and uses HP technology to deliver turnkey infrastructure to organisations as a service. It delivers quick-turn unmanaged and fully managed server environments up to the operating system layer that includes both physical and virtual, storage management and application operations up to database, SAP Basis and MS Exchange services. It provides predefined and standardised infrastructure optimised for target applications. Applications can be up and running in fewer than 90 days - with additional processing, storage capacity, operating system, database, Exchange and SAP instances provisioned in as little as a few days.
